The NFL Competition Committee has made couple of significant changes to their rulebook that have left the NFL community with mixed feelings. There have been more rule changes, but I’d like to focus on use of helmet, the catch rule, and protection of the quarterback.

Senior distance runner Rachel Barbagos is an important contributor to a strong track team. On Sept. 15, Barbagos finished first in a field of 212 runners at the UR Yellowjacket Cross Country Invitational, helping the ‘Jackets place second in that meet.

Interceptions help football win defensive battle
Men’s Football defeated Alfred State 20–14 on Saturday, Sept. 15, in a defensive battle.
The ‘Jackets defense hauled in six interceptions, four of which came from junior defensive back Robert Grant, and secured their first win of the season.

Senior attacker Nancy Bansbach was named as a team captain for Field Hockey last season, and was the team’s top scorer last season among those returning this year. Last season, the team won the Liberty League Championship for the first time in school history and advanced to the NCAA Elite Eight.
