Referencing the library

UR's libraries offer a wide range of spaces, with a variety of associated functions. These locations should be labeled on site, so students are more aware of whether each spot is better suited for group work or quiet studying.

Matzah for the masses

For the many Jewish students at UR, it is difficult to find food acceptable for the eight-day-long holiday of Passover. More dining options should be provided during this period.

Influx of outlets

The recent installation of 225 new outlets in Rush Rhees Library is a positive step forward for students needing to charge their laptops. However, many other locations around campus still lack adequate electrical access.

UR giving back

Instead of being reset at the end of the academic year, students' leftover declining balance ought to be donated to a worthy local charity. This change could do good while promoting more conscientious dining choices.

Minutes correction

In last week's edition, we mistakenly argued that the minutes from Students' Association Senate were not posted in a timely fashion. We failed to understand the administrative protocol behind minute postings.

Cut off from classrooms

Empty classrooms could be put to better use by allowing student access for studying during off hours.

Destandardizing Dining

Customizable food options at Danforth could improve student choice while making the entire process more efficient.

Downside to D-Day change

The administration's misguided decision to move D-Day from a Saturday to a Friday may backlash and cause undesired consequences.

Price doesn't register

Poorly located cash register displays can turn the price of purchases on campus into a mystery.

Mid-year migraine

The Students' Association's unwieldy PPAC forms for club activities are too generic to offer an accurate description of events.
