Roger Demott of Rochester was arrested on charges of trespassing by the Rochester Police Department on Jan. 19 after 4 p.m. in the Eastman School of Music, according to security.Demott had been previously warned to stay off university property.Two vehicles stolen from URTwo non-university owned vehicles were taken from university property since Jan. 11. The first vehicle, worth approximately $1,500, was taken from the Mt. Hope Professional Lot on or before Jan. 11, according to UR Security.The second theft occurred in Valentine lot and was discovered on Jan. 19. The value of the vehicle was not known at the time of reporting.In both incidents, the RPD was notified, according to security.Copper tubing missing in StrongSeveral thousand dollars worth of copper tubing was discovered missing in Strong Memorial Hospital on Jan. 12 before 8:30 a.m. The tubing was worth approximately $4,200 and is university property, according to UR Security.Two laptops stolen in seperate incidents Several laptops were taken since the first incident on Jan. 14. The first, a laptop worth $1,600, was taken from an unsecured room in Schlegel. Another laptop was taken from a locked room in Chambers. The computer is worth $900 and there were no signs of force, according to security. Tables, chairs are damaged Tables and chairs in Danforth were discovered damaged before 3 p.m. on Jan. 15. The incident involved over $850 worth of property damage, according to UR Security.Textbooks, money missingTextbooks and money were discovered missing from a secured room in Fairchild on Jan. 21. There were no signs of force, and the RPD was notified. The total value is $530, according to UR Security.Forklift damaged near Wilson CommonsA forklift owned by the university received over $1,000 worth of damages while it was in Wilson Commons on Jan. 15, according to security. Student violates drug policyA student was found to be in violation of the university drug policy in Susan B. Anthony Residence Halls. It’s been an amazing year for music — some of my favorite albums of the decade came out, pop music thrived, as did rap, metal, and overall there were pretty much great albums coming out consistently every week.
