This year’s Earth Day, which took place Tuesday, April 22 was celebrated by Women’s Caucus who successfuly sold roses for a dollar to support the 34 Million Friends Campaign. Also, Grassroots is celebrating Earth Day by having a celebration with bands, games and info about the environment this Friday from 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Wilson Quad which is where this tree grows. This Friday is also Arbor Day, a nationally celebrated observance that encourages tree planting and tree care.
