An individual was found urinating outside the Susan B. Anthony Residence Halls on Jan. 22 at 1:18 a.m. The undergraduate student was approached and identified according to Director of UR Security Walter Mauldin.

He admitted that his actions were “a dumb thing to do,” according to Mauldin.

The student was warned and advised against such behavior in the future, according to UR Security.

Groceries stolen from Rush Rhees Library

Two graduate students reported four bags of groceries were stolen from the lobby outside the ITS Center in Rush Rhees Library on Jan. 22 between 4:30 p.m. and 6 p.m.

The items had been left on a bench in the lobby while the students were working at the ITS Center. No police report was filed, according to UR Security.

Suspects found in UR parking lot

Two suspicious-looking individuals were observed via closed circuit television exiting a vehicle in River Parking Lot on Jan. 25 at 11:48 p.m.

They started walking through the lot, looking into parked cars.

UR Security, as well as the Rochester Police, responded to the area and the two suspects were identified, according to UR Security.

Neither were affiliated with UR, and they were warned and advised not to return to university property, according to Mauldin.

There were no cars found damaged or broken into in the lot, according to UR Security.

Drunk, unconscious student in SBA

Officers were called to SBA on Jan. 23 at 3:15 a.m. to investigate the report of an individual passing out in the kitchen with his face lying in a pool of vomit.

Officers located the individual, and although initially non-responsive, the person was able to be roused by officers, according to UR Security.

The individual, who was identified as an undergraduate, then began eating his vomit and became verbally abusive, according to Mauldin.

An ambulance was summoned, and upon realizing this, the student became irrational and combative, according to UR Security.

The student was then transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment for intoxication, according to UR Security.

Car broken into

in Park Lot

An unidentified suspect forcibly entered a student vehicle parked in Park Lot and tried to steal its car stereo on Jan. 24 between 12:20 p.m. and 7:20 p.m.

The stereo was not stolen, but it was damaged, according to UR Security.

There was also a door lock cylinder damaged by the suspect, according to Mauldin.

The student, checked his car and reported nothing else damaged or stolen.

Damages are estimated at $400.
