A second patient is infected with the coronavirus in Monroe County, the Democrat and Chronicle reported late Friday night.

The Democrat and Chronicle reported that Monroe County officials didn’t say how the patient contracted the virus, but said it had nothing to do with the first case in Monroe County.

The first patient infected with the new coronavirus arrived to Rochester on Tuesday, according to a WXXI report, after taking a bus from John F. Kennedy International Airport, where he had arrived from Italy.

According to the Democrat and Chronicle, Monroe County Public Health Commissioner Michael Mendoza and Monroe County Executive Adam Bello will discuss the situation at a press conference at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

The second patient is in stable condition, the Democrat and Chronicle said.
