An undergraduate student was found urinating on a vehicle parked in Hill Court Parking Lot at 1:01 a.m. on March 16, according to Director of UR Security Walter Mauldin.
The student was accompanied by two other undergraduate students. The other students were taking digital photos of the student urinating on the vehicle.
The students were observed via CCTV by UR Security, and officers were dispatched to the parking lot.
The students were warned, released and referred to the Dean of Students office, according to UR Security.
UR Security has attempted to contact the owner of the vehicle, but has been unsuccessful as of March 16.
Student hospitalized and ICMC vandalized
A 20-year-old student was found ill in the InterCampus Music Center at 1:22 a.m. on March 14.
The student got sick from combining prescribed medication with alcohol and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital.
Later that evening, ICMC experienced two incidents of vandalism, according to UR Security.
A broken window was reported at 5:58 p.m. No suspects were identified.
A few hours later, an unidentified male threw a can of polyurethane coating through the first floor window.
The contents of the can splashed on four drumheads, a stereo, carpeting and a chair.
UR Facilities and Services was contacted to repair the window and clean the coating.
Female followed into Burton bathroom
A female student in Burton Hall reported a male student attempted to follow her into the bathroom at 10:44 p.m. on March 9.
The male student was noted as being very friendly, but not aggressive. The male student did not leave until she closed the door on him, according to Mauldin.
The student has been referred to the Dean of Students office for further review.
Computer parts stolen in garbage bags
Staff in Dewey Hall reported observing two unidentified suspects leaving a secured room with a plastic trash bag at 10:41 a.m. on March 11.
The two departed by the tunnel system. Upon later inspection, various computer accessories were discovered to be missing and several cables were cut in the room. Damage is estimated at $800 to $1,000. A report has been filed with the RPD.
Larceny arrest
made at Eastman
RPD arrested Rochester resident Robert Hurell on charges of criminal mischief and larceny in a parking lot at the Eastman School of Music.
UR Security observed Hurell breaking a car window and attempting to steal the car radio.
Officers were able to secure the area and prevent Hurell from leaving the lot until RPD arrived on the scene.
