Mark your calendars for 8 p.m. Saturday, March 31 and head on down to Strong Auditorium for Vocal Point?s annual spring extravaganza. UR?s only all-female a cappella group is celebrating 32 years of existence with its largest concert of the year.

This year?s concert will feature an assortment of new tunes that Vocal Point has been working on this semester, including songs from the Temptations and Ben Folds Five.

?One can expect a killer opener, intense comedy, crazy shenanigans, and as usual, a solid set of amazing a cappella,? said senior and member Kristen Jenkins. ?This show gives Vocal Point an opportunity to really give everyone a serious dose of how much we?ve accom-plished this year.?

Jenkins said the group is excited about this year?s show, as it promises to be an evening full of surprises, great music and lots of comedy.

Vocal Point usually performs with its counterparts, the Yellowjackets and the Midnight Ramblers, but its spring show is a solo performance.

Vocal Point is planning on surprising the audience with some unusual comic segments.

A few a cappella special guests are going to be present at the concert, so get ready for some interesting entertainment.

?We are very excited about this year?s show. Every year the spring concert seems to evolve just a little bit, and this year it?s going to be crazy.? Jenkins said.

The show is $5, and you can pick up your ticket at the Common Market in Wilson Commons or at the door the evening of the show.

Masked protesters disrupt Boar’s Head, protest charges against students

Protesters gathered in front of the Highe Table and urged the University to drop the criminal charges against the four students recently charged with second-degree criminal mischief, saying that the University’s response is disproportionate compared to other bias-related incident reports.

Notes by Nadia: I’m disappointed in this country

I always knew misogyny existed in our country, but I never knew it was to the extent that Americans would pick a rapist and convicted felon as president over a smart, educated, and highly qualified woman.
